Portuguese Bar Association signs cooperation agreement with the Refugee Aid Platform

In a ceremony at its Lisbon headquarters on 3 November, the Portuguese Bar Association signed a cooperation agreement with the Refugee Aid Platform (PAR).

The agreement provides a basis for cooperation between the Portuguese Bar Association and the Refugee Aid Platform in counselling, supporting and integrating refugees, who will be able to use the services of a pool of volunteer lawyers.

For the duration of the agreement, PAR and the Bar Association have agreed to issue up-to-date lists of the volunteer lawyers in their own communication materials and publications.

The agreement has a duration of one year, and can be automatically renewed for a further year.
