New disciplinary rules for legal profession

New Disciplinary Rules were unanimously approved on 1 October, at the plenary session of the Higher Council of the Portuguese Bar Association.

The new rules are designed to make the disciplinary process more effective, faster and fairer. At a series of meetings organised by the Higher Council, the ethics committees gave their views on the proposals for establishing uniform disciplinary procedures in the association's disciplinary bodies and the final approved text took on board the various positions expressed in this process.
